Description
Melpomene is an elegant bronze sculpture by the Belgian sculptor Renaat Ramon. It’s part of a series of bronze and ceramic sculptures inspired by Greek mythology called The Muses. Melpomene was originally considered the Muse of music, song and dance. Later on, she was named Muse of tragedy.
Our bronze sculptures are cast using the lost wax method. Melpomene is a limited edition bronze sculpture, each piece is numbered and signed.

ABOUT the designer
Renaat Ramon
Renaat Ramon is a Belgian poet, essayist and sculptor, based in the beautiful city of Bruges. He is primarily known for his monumental sculptures, constructivist installations, jewelry and furniture design and architectural projects. Although Ramon, as a sculptor, is an adept of constructivism and geometric abstraction, he is an admirer of the “noble simplicity and quiet grandeur” (J. Winckelmann) of classical art.
