Regina Medeiros

Regina Medeiros is a Brazilian glass artist based in Belo Horizonte. In 1988, she graduated in Drawing and Plastic Arts at the Faculty of Plastic Arts, São Paulo, and in Artistic Education at São Paulo's Faculty of Fine Arts. At the time, the artist’s preferred medium was ceramics, but soon she encountered limitations in this material that prevented her to achieve the designs she had in mind. This is when Medeiros started to experiment with glass art and so began a new chapter in her artistic career. All of Regina's designs are manufactured by hand and coloured with oxides and gold components. Due to the artisanal manufacturing method, slight colour changes can occur, constituting the unique charm of handmade products. Regina Medeiros products are strictly for indoor use.
